Kevin is a very active performer in many different styles and genres, including jazz, orchestra, chamber music, and new music. Kevin has held orchestral positions with the Round Rock Symphony Orchestra and the Ruby Mountain Symphony, and has performed with the San Antonio Symphony, Reno Philharmonic, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Brazos Valley Symphony, Round Rock Symphony Orchestra, Nevada Opera, and the Reno Philharmonic.
As a jazz musician, Kevin performs regularly with groups such as the Brent Wallarab Jazz Ensemble and Indiana University, and was a featured soloist with this group with the guest director, Ed Partyka.
Kevin loves to perform chamber music, and is a founding member of the Skylark Horn Quartet. This ensemble, formed in 2016, is a non-profit organization dedicated to premiering new works by American composers, and presenting reimagined versions of classics from the rich heritage of American song.
Kevin completed his Doctor of Music in Horn Performance and Literature at Indiana University in 2016, and holds the degrees of Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Nevada, Reno (2009) and Master of Music in Horn Performance from the University of Texas at Austin (2012).
Kevin grew up in the mountains of Lake Tahoe, CA and his love for the outdoors continues with his interest in hiking, mountain biking, running, camping, kayaking, and skiing.
